Prayer Shawl MinistryThe Prayer Shawl ministry has been ongoing for two years. In that time, fifty shawls have been distributed. All of those persons have expressed their grateful appreciation, in some form.On Sunday, July 12th, more shawls will be blessed by Rev. Herb. At that time there will be an abundance of shawls on hand ready for giving to anyone in need of any type of healing. If you know of someone you feel would benefit from this Ministry, please speak to Rev. Herb. Recognition needs to be given to the following who have knitted or crocheted to make this ministry possible: Gerrie M, Rev. Joanne S, Melodie H, Annette B, Mary Ann K, Sybil D, Wendy M, Debbie O, Sylvia L, Barbara R, Betty H, Claudia T, Frances W, Rosemary M, Nadyne M, Frances K. Also, shawls were received from Kathy M, made by her late mother, Madeline M, and from Jerry D, made by his late wife, Christie. Thank you to all. The group will not be meeting during the upcoming summer months. Monthly get-togethers will resume in the fall. However, keep the needles/hooks busy all summer if you wish. Anyone who does not knit or crochet but would like to support this ministry in some other way is welcome to contribute monetarily for the purchase of yarn. The cost of yarn, unfortunately, is rising, now making it somewhat difficult for some to continue making the shawls. Thank you to everyone for your generous support of this program.
